What We Believe
We believe that “all scripture is given by inspiration of God” and that the whole Bible is inspired in the sense that holy men of God were moved by the Holy Spirit to write the words of scripture. We believe in the plenary, verbal inspiration of the Bible that this divine inspiration extends equally and fully to all parts of the writings as appeared in the original autographs. We believe all the Scriptures center about the Lord Jesus Christ in His Person and work in His first and second coming and that no portion properly is the inerrant and infallible Word of God and the only authoritative standard of faith and practice-it is to be trusted in completely and it will equip the saint to serve and love the Lord Jesus Christ (2 Tim. 3:17).
We believe in one God, eternally existing in 3 persons-Father, Son, and the Holy Spirit-that they have precisely the same nature, attributes, and perfections, and worthy of precisely the same obedience and confidence.
The Person and Work of Christ
We believe that Jesus came in fulfillment of prophecy; was born of a virgin; was a perfect & completely sinless man and fully man & fully God at the same time. Jesus Christ accomplished our redemption through His death on the cross as a representative, vicarious, substitutionary sacrifice; & that our justification is made sure by His literal, physical resurrection from the dead; He ascended to heaven & is now exalted at the right hand of God.
The Person and Work of the Holy Spirit
We believe that the Holy Spirit is a person who convicts the world of sin, of righteousness, and of judgment; and that He is the Supernatural Agent in regeneration, baptizing all believers into the body of Christ, indwelling and sealing them unto the day of redemption (John 16:8-11).
Depravity of Man
We believe that man was created in the image and likeness of God, but in Adam’s sin the race fell, inherited a sinful nature, and became alienated from God.
We believe that salvation is the gift of God brought to man and received by personal faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, whose precious blood was shed on Calvary for the forgiveness of our sins (Eph. 1:7, 2:8-10; John 3:16; 1:12; 1 Pet. 1:18-19)
We believe that the church, which is the body and espoused bride of Christ, is a spiritual organism made up of all born-again persons of this present age and that the local church is the hope of the world.
We believe that God created numerous angelic beings; that one, Lucifer, the highest in rand, sinned through pride, thereby becoming Satan, and that a great company of angels followed him, and some are now demons and active as his agents; that others fell and are awaiting judgment at this time (Isa. 14:12-17; Ezk. 28:11-29; Jude 1:6; 2 Pet.2:4).
We believe the next great event of God’s program will be the coming of the Lord in the air to receive to Himself the church, His bride. We believe this coming to be imminent and that we are to be looking for it.
The Christian Life
We believe that the Christian life is to be lived by a daily yielding to the Holy Spirit that He may produce the character and fruit that will glorify God.
