Sorry Not My God

Sorry Not My God

It is no surprise that some folks chose to question Christianity because they don’t like what God may say about right and wrong. They would rather have a God that goes along with their point of view. In other words they chose to have a god that fits their agenda. The culture of inventing a god or having no god and the idea that you are god has been around thousands of years. It’s pretty common today to have a conversation with a friend or family member that feels that way.

When Moses was commissioned by God to remove his people from slavery in Egypt he said who shall I say told me to do this? “God said to Moses, I AM WHO I AM: and He said, “thus you shall say to the sons of Israel, ‘I AM has sent me to you.'” (Ex. 3:14) There is no doubt that it took a few plagues, like ten, to convince everyone that the I AM is the I AM. Today I think it is amazing how the I Am is gracious to everyone.

I can only conclude that as he says in the book of Peter 3:9 that He wishes none to parish and is patient. Also as I have counseled many folks who chose to sin and yet God is still good and I say to them just think how great your life would be if you chose to obey God’s Holy Word. Let’s pray for those; maybe you, it will not take ten catastrophic events in your life to recognize the I AM.
