Our Goal + Mission
Grow In Faith
Our Goal is to fulfill both sides of the great commission of Matthew 28:19-20; to go into the world and share the good news of Jesus, to encourage those who are Christ followers to continue to grow in the knowledge and practice of their faith in Jesus.
Our Mission
The mission of our church is to bring irreligious people into fully devoted followers of Jesus Christ. Love the Lord with all our heart, mind and soul and the new command to love your neighbor as yourself, which is evidence of the first command.
Pastors
Ken Johns
Pastor Ken grew up during his youth and teen years between the Chicago, Illinois, and Detroit, Michigan, areas. He graduated from high school in Farmington Hills, Michigan, before attending Washington Bible College in Maryland, where he graduated in 1982.
That same year, he married his wife, and together they have built a life centered on faith and family. They have three children.
He began his ministry serving at Chantilly Bible Church in Virginia before accepting a position at Valley Community Bible Church. In February 1993, he followed God's leading to plant Solid Rock Bible Church, where he has faithfully served as Lead Pastor ever since.
Outside of ministry, Ken has always loved the Montana outdoors. Whether he's fishing, hunting, snow skiing, or snowmobiling, he's happiest when he's outside. He's also been a lifelong motorhead with a passion for anything that has an engine.
In his younger years, he was highly involved in athletics and loved competing in sports. These days, he enjoys watching the games instead.

Janell Johns
I have recently retired from teaching High School English in the public school system. I’m married to Ken (Sr. Pastor) and we have three grown children and one granddaughter. For many years (off and on) I have been a Women’s Ministry leader. Getting women together for Bible studies, fellowship, conferences, retreats, and other ways to deepen friendships has been a passion of mine. Organization is one of my strengths and so I was placed into the administrator position here at The Rock for the time being.
I enjoy the outdoors (walking hiking, camping, planting flowers/gardening), reading, spending time with friends, and traveling back East to see my family and friends. And, of course,I love spending time with my granddaughter.
